about

YBF was written as kind of an ode to seasonal depression and shot by Nic Herzog.

Where we're from, has some pretty long, cold winters, and that can make it feel kind of
endless, maybe even a little isolated at times. As the song progressed I felt that
it was also kind of representative of depression in general.

The song is sung from two different points of view in the same relationship, one being the point of view of the person suffering from depression, and the other being the person who's trying to care for the first one, but not quite understanding what's wrong.

When Nic came to make the video he really took to the concept, and ended up
creating the story based on my character being depressed.

The character tries to go out and have a good time but isn’t enthusiastic at all.

His friends (The Band) literally drag him out

When it came to making the actual video we definitely kept trying to one-up each other
which is how we ended up with so much whacky shit in the video.

Nic Herzog did an awesome job and we're happy to premiere the video! By the way, yes, that is a real tattoo that I have now.
